June is the best month



May is for working in the garden, but June is for delighting in flowers. First up is the wisteria, hanging luxuriously over the deck, loaded with bees and exuding the most wonderful fragrance.

May flowers are beautiful and early, but June flowers are wildly luscious and extravagant. Today both the iris and two kinds of peony started blooming.

Peonies are my favourite flower. I love the way they look, smell and feel.
